World Scholar’s Cup Tour, Cape Town, 2017. Finally the day had arrived to board the plane and be on our way.

Flight MN121 departed OR Tambo on the morning of 9 August carrying excited, chattering BESA learners among its passengers. Two humorous, frenzy-free hours later we landed safely at a sunny & warmer-than-expected Cape Town International.

We were met by Brad & Marcel who safely shuttled our BESA family members to the ‘Inn on the Square’. Our luggage was safely stored, and we intrepid adventurers set out on a 2.7 km walk to V&A Waterfront. There we had lunch as we reveled in the vibrant, bustling crowds. We boarded a harbour cruise for an informative, pleasant trip on the water.
Later we strode back to the hotel where we were treated to delicious fruit juice and checked in to our rooms.

After welcome showers & ‘naps’??? some of the group returned to the V&A Waterfront with Mr B for the evening, while others stayed in the hotel with Mrs A.

We plan to get a good night’s rest so that we’re ready for tomorrow’s planned (and unplanned) adventures.

Have a lovely night. Au Revoir!
